Super Gun compatible

We have read from other Scart Switches that using Super Guns could be destroying some chips. We redesigned the Taxon Scart Switch V2 so that slightly higher than normal levels do not cause problems. Video levels can go up to 9V pp and audio levels up to 14V pp. However, going to the limit is not advised because the amplification circuit gets hotter. This leads to a shorter lifespan of our Switch.

Pure Sync can be enabled on the switch side

In earlier days, we have sold our pure sync adaptor. Our new Scart Switch supports a sync stripper circuit out of the box. An amplified sync signal will be output with the level of usual video signals, so you get a more reliable signal than with our Pure Sync Adaptor.

LED for every input which shows that the connected device is sending a video signal

Have you ever wondered which video game console is turned on and which one is turned off? It is now visible on our new Scart Switch with one blue LED per input. You can disable all LEDs if you want.

AC Coupling implemented on switch side

We have sold our AC Coupling Adaptor in earlier days. Now, the whole functionality of this adaptor is built into our Scart Switch.

Power LED can be disabled

If you don't like the Power LED, it can be disabled now.

Star ground design to minify hum loops

We have redesigned our PCB with a star ground topology. This minifies unwanted current flows between different consoles and the Scart/RCA outputs.

Active device recognition does not affect video signal

It could happen with our old Scart Switch that the video signal was affected by our input detection circuit. This is now removed so you get a blank image if you connect our switch to a CRT screen without any active input. Taxon Scart Switch V1 showed some line noise in comparison.

Better image quality

Taxon Scart Switch V1 was not perfectly reproducing the input video signal. We made some improvements with the low noise edition, but it is still improvable. The Taxon Scart Switch V2 offers a significant improvement in image quality compared to V1, especially in the area of noise.

Better audio quality

Taxon Scart Switch V1 was using a simple transistor amplifier for audio. Taxon Scart Switch V2 will be using a special operational amplifier specific for audio thus leading to better audio quality and supporting higher audio levels.
